I've been here for 12 years and You can expect to pay around $1,120 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. Worth the trade-offs? Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely improving and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Riverside) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
