Rent in Wilmington getting crazy

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $162,700 on average. Rent is about $925/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 12,637 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Does this match your experience? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much growing but now it's challenging.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
