Hey folks, Household incomes average around $87,371 in Wilsonville. Rent is about $1,839/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 26,183 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Anyone in a similar situation? Any help is appreciated. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Tampa about 1 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are competitive, gas is solid.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in retail. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like sushi.
Good luck with whatever you decide..
