Hey everyone, I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $87,371 in Wilsonville. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here? Thanks for reading. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a sales manager, 53, moved here 1 years ago from Denver. I've lived in Eastside and Highland, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Affordable housing options
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Can feel isolated
2. Homeless population growing downtown
3. The safety situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for young professionals. solid vibes, walkable.
- Highland: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Denver, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $60K-$110K here.
**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if pet-friendliness matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in North area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is excellent in most areas.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value safety, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (The Heights) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

The food scene here is improving. Tons of great BBQ places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
