Should I move to Wilton Manors or stay in Sacramento?
Been meaning to ask this. Rent is about $1,789/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Let me know your thoughts. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from Charlotte about 1 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
