Job market in Wimauma for tech?

Random thought, Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. Homes are going for about $334,400 on average. Household incomes average around $58,708 in Wimauma. It's a a small town city with about 13,003 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Any advice would be great. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Dallas and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Pine Hills. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a nurse, 48, moved here 3 years ago from Chicago. I've lived in Westside and Riverside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good internet infrastructure
2. Diverse dining options
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Not a lot of cultural diversity
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The traffic situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Westside: Great for couples. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Riverside: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Chicago, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $90K-$70K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Tampa it's hit or miss.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 6 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for retirement and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The healthcare is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
