Curious what people think. The median home value here is around $763,200, which is pretty steep. With a population of 26,179, Windsor is a smaller city. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs?

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- The walkability scene is tough
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Bought a house here in 2016 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely tough and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (North) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The pet-friendliness is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..
