Cost of living reality check -Windsor

Hey, The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,780 for rent here. With a population of 35,918, Windsor is a smaller city. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Would love some local perspective. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.

I've been here 1 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the Old Town side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
