Hello, I'm single, late 50s, and Household incomes average around $89,083 in Windsor Heights. You can expect to pay around $1,355 for rent here. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Worth the trade-offs? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.
I've been here 5 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is hit or miss. Tons of great Italian places. I genuinely enjoy living here.
