Career opportunities in Windsor, NC

Random thought, I've been here for 13 years and You can expect to pay around $682 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I work in construction here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is hit or miss. No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Houston about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Feel free to reach out with questions..
