Biggest downsides of living in Windsor?

Hi all, Just moved here 12 months ago and Median household income is $115,111, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 14 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into running, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The weather is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
