Hey, Been living here since 2021. You can expect to pay around $1,750 for rent here. Household incomes average around $250,001 in Winnetka. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The walkability is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. the quality of life is solid. Compared to Seattle it's challenging.

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The traffic scene is decent
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Nashville about 5 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is tough.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Definitely worth checking out..
