So, Military spouse here. The unemployment rate is 0.4%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $77,020, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $350,700, which seems about average. Homes are going for about $350,700 on average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 7 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into running, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
