Housing in Winter Garden compared to Memphis

I've been here for 14 years and Median household income is $106,371, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $428,200, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 4.2%, which is about average. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Worth the trade-offs? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The weather is genuinely underrated and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Old Town) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Baltimore it's surprisingly good.

If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely excellent and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Sunset) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. cultural scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The traffic is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 2 years. Moved from Minneapolis for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
consulting is strong here. manufacturing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is tough - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Nightlife is limited. Chain restaurants dominate. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 5/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
