Been meaning to ask this. I'm originally from Pittsburgh and It's a a smaller city city with about 29,929 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Winter Park sits at 222.3 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 9 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. it's improved dramatically in recent years.
