Is Winter Springs still affordable?

Alright, Been living here since 2017. You can expect to pay around $1,779 for rent here. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I wrong here? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'm a nurse and I've found I love the pace of life here. The community is average and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Phoenix and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in East. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2020 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
