Anyone work in healthcare in Winterville?

Hey, Crime rate is something to consider -Winterville sits at 90.7 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 10,624 people. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Dallas about 2 years ago. The main reasons were family and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in West area are average. Kids love it here.
