Healthcare options in Winthrop Harbor?

I'm a 55-year-old nurse and The unemployment rate is 8.2%, which is concerning. Rent is about $1,262/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Worth the trade-offs? Looking forward to hearing from you all. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Bought a house here in 2019 and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Springfield for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- The pet-friendliness scene is solid

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..
