Hey everyone, Rent is about $782/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Eastside. It's tough for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..
