I'm a college student here and It's a a small town city with about 1,436 people. The median home value here is around $134,800, which is actually reasonable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is school system. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Austin about 5 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is solid.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from Baltimore about 2 years ago. The main reasons were school and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
