Withamsville housing prices -when will it stop?

Curious what people think. Born and raised here. Rent is about $1,081/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,081 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Is this normal for Withamsville? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Westside for 3 years. Moved from San Francisco for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Westside schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Far from beaches/mountains. And traffic can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 9/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 14 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
