What to expect moving to Wolf Creek?

Hi all, Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $950 for rent here. Homes are going for about $699,500 on average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Used to live on the The Heights side, now on the Old Town side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've lived in The Heights for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Active local events and festivals
- The cost of living scene is decent

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
