I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $915 for rent here. Homes are going for about $103,200 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Let me know your thoughts. The suburbs are where most families end up.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much affordable but now it's improving.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 12 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into running, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from Atlanta about 12 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is improving.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The housing market is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
