Rent vs buy in Wood River -what makes sense?

Hey everyone, Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $65,960 in Wood River. Rent is about $915/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
