Housing in Woodhaven compared to Chicago

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What do you all think? TIA!

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 8 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Tons of great farm-to-table places. it was the best decision I ever made.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
