Curious what people think. I'm originally from Nashville and Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Woodinville sits at 76.5 per 100K. Household incomes average around $158,723 in Woodinville. Median household income is $158,723, which feels pretty solid for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. Does this match your experience? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great farm-to-table places. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a data analyst, 44, moved here 12 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in Springfield and Greenfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Decent public transit for the size
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Winters are long and cold
3. The cost of living situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Springfield: Great for retirees. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $70K-$80K here.
**Final verdict:**
Feel free to reach out with questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Charlotte it's excellent.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Bought a house here in 2017 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
