What Woodland does better than anywhere else

Hi all, Household incomes average around $87,880 in Woodland. The weather takes some getting used to. What would you do? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much manageable but now it's pretty good.
