Considering Woodland Park vs Dallas -help me decide
Anyone else feel this way? Been living here since 2006. Median household income is $96,896, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 39--F, so bundle up in winter. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Thanks in advance! People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in Midtown for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Strong job market in several industries
- The housing market scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 9 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
