Life in Woodway as a young professional

Hello, Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 9,483 people. Household incomes average around $115,729 in Woodway. You can expect to pay around $1,748 for rent here. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. What would you do? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in North. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in engineering. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Hope this helps!.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..
