Worcester vs Omaha — which is better?

Been meaning to ask this. Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $67,544 in Worcester. Average temperature is around 51°F, so expect cold winters. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 6 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
