How is World Golf Village for outdoor activities?

Hey everyone, Rent is about $1,946/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 4.6%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks in advance! There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Sunset. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Oak Park. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in retail. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
