Household incomes average around $91,250 in Worthing. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. Median household income is $91,250, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Minneapolis about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I have mixed feelings honestly. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in education. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
Hope this helps!.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.
