I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -Worthington sits at 232.6 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 13,792 people. Household incomes average around $61,840 in Worthington. You can expect to pay around $892 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I overthinking this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2021 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in government. If you're in finance you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in West for 4 years. Moved from LA for quality of life. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.
**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is solid - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. West schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Dating scene is rough. And healthcare can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The walkability is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much developing but now it's surprisingly good.
