Is Worthington still affordable?

Alright, Poverty rate is 11.0%, which is around average. Crime rate is something to consider -Worthington sits at 232.6 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 13,792 people. Rent is about $892/month for a decent place. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do? Appreciate any input. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from LA about 11 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong job market in several industries
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is solid.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Definitely worth checking out..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Feel free to reach out with questions..
