Housing in Wrens compared to Las Vegas

Random thought, The median home value here is around $112,500, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $37,192 in Wrens. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. TIA! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Houston about 2 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is challenging.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
