Cost of living reality check -Wright

So, Poverty rate is 10.8%, which is around average. Crime rate is something to consider -Wright sits at 340.0 per 100K. Homes are going for about $270,700 on average. With a population of 27,233, Wright is a smaller city. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. Does this match your experience? Cheers. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely improving and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (The Heights) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
