So, Poverty rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. With a population of 3,330, Wrightstown is a small town. You can expect to pay around $1,266 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value public transit, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely challenging and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Fairview) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 9 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 13 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is job market. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a lawyer, 27, moved here 12 years ago from Chicago. I've lived in Eastside and Riverside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Good schools in most areas
2. Low crime in most neighborhoods
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The food scene situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for retirees. improving vibes, walkable.
- Riverside: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Chicago, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $100K-$80K here.
**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've lived in South for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- The walkability scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Definitely worth checking out..
