Moving from Nashville to Wyandotte next month
Hello, Anyone in a similar situation? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Denver about 4 years ago. The main reasons were weather and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Rising rent and home prices
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide..
