Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $67,846 in Wyandotte. The median home value here is around $159,700, which is actually reasonable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Worth the trade-offs? Any help is appreciated.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Downtown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in engineering. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
