Rent in Wyndham getting crazy

Hey folks, Military spouse here. Poverty rate is 0.9%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. What do you all think? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Houston about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are competitive, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
