Anyone work in healthcare in Wyoming?

OK so Poverty rate is 8.7%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What are your go-to spots?

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Minneapolis about 5 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are reasonable, gas is underrated.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from San Francisco about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for weather and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The dating scene is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a writer, 33, moved here 5 years ago from Boston. I've lived in Old Town and Oak Park, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Strong job market in several industries
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally pretty good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The housing market situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Old Town: Great for couples. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Oak Park: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Boston, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $100K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
