First post here. Household incomes average around $72,163 in Wyoming. The median home value here is around $203,900, which is actually reasonable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Anyone in a similar situation? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I've lived in Westside for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The food scene scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the Lakewood side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The food scene is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
