Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. With a population of 8,063, Wyoming is a small town. The median home value here is around $328,900, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Wyoming sits at 50.0 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Nashville about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Hope this helps!.
