I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Charlotte about 8 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Happy to answer more specific questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
