Grocery stores in Yakima -recommendations?

Random thought, Rent is about $1,075/month for a decent place. Median household income is $59,228, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 4.8%, which is about average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 39, moved here 12 years ago from Charlotte. I've lived in Midtown and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Not a lot of cultural diversity
3. The safety situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Midtown: Great for remote workers. excellent vibes, walkable.
- North: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Charlotte, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
