Things Yaphank needs to improve

Hey folks, Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The nightlife is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 9 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Cedar Grove side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
