First time home buyer in Yarmouth Port

Alright, It's a a small town city with about 5,825 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Oak Park. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much stable but now it's tough.
