First time home buyer in Yonkers

Homes are going for about $478,000 on average. Rent is about $1,730/month for a decent place. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Bought a house here in 2020 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Charlotte it's underrated.
