Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in Yonkers? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $1730 for a 3BR which feels okay for the area.
Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.

Totally agree with this. I've been here 12 years and my experience is very similar.

Rent tip: look for places in October-November. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

I'd add that the school system has been improving steadily. Otherwise spot on!

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Midtown and Cedar Hills are perfectly safe.
