Not sure if this has been asked before, but With a population of 67,407, Yorba Linda is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $2,779 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Yorba Linda sits at 61.6 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Used to live on the Meadowbrook side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Baltimore about 9 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is pretty good.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Sunset for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The traffic scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Limited entertainment options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..
